The main research objectives of HOLIC® Building Materials R&D Center are the research and development of steel bars and other metal building materials, inorganic non-metallic building materials such as cement and concrete, floor and wall materials such as tiles, doors and windows, ceramics and sanitary ware, coatings and other building materials, and focus on the research of refractory materials, high-performance composite materials, advanced ceramic materials, engineering special materials, glass based special functional materials and other fields.
In terms of research on refractory materials, HOLIC® Building Materials R&D Center is characterized by high-performance, environmentally friendly, and energy-saving refractory materials, mainly including cast refractory materials, sintered and unburned refractory materials, amorphous refractory materials, and heat-resistant and wear-resistant materials. It can provide comprehensive services such as research and development of high-temperature resistant technology for kilns, production and sales of refractory materials, and construction and installation for industries such as glass, cement, steel, non-ferrous metals, electricity, petrochemicals, coal chemical industry, and hazardous waste treatment.
In terms of research on high-performance composite materials, HOLIC® Building Materials R&D Center uses continuous fibers such as carbon fiber, aramid fiber, and glass fiber as reinforcing phases, and epoxy resin, bismaleus resin, cyanate ester polyimide resin, and thermoplastic resin as matrices. Through advanced fiber winding technology, pultrusion technology, hot melt prepreg technology, laying technology, and other process methods, high-performance resin based composite materials with high specific strength and modulus, anisotropy, good designability, excellent fatigue resistance, corrosion resistance, and vibration resistance can be used to prepare various structural components, shells, and high-pressure vessels, and have overcome a series of challenges such as material optimization design, complex structural design, large-scale molding, and stability of composite materials in intense alternating environments. In terms of research on advanced ceramic materials, HOLIC® Building Materials R&D Center uses high-purity and ultrafine raw materials, and produces ceramic materials with excellent performance through composition and structural design, precise stoichiometry, and new preparation techniques. The main products include ultra-high voltage electric ceramics, silicon nitride ceramics, alumina ceramics, quartz ceramic rollers, foam ceramics, silicon carbide ceramics, ultra-high temperature flexible gradient insulation materials, as well as ceramic films, ceramic substrates, ceramic metal composite components, shaped ceramic structural components, ceramic phosphorus diffusion source pieces, ceramic spotlight cavities, electrical connectors, ceramic connectors, and other product products.
In terms of research on special materials for engineering, in order to meet the needs of industries such as petroleum, hydropower, marine engineering, nuclear power, metallurgy, national defense, transportation, decoration, and engineering construction, HOLIC® Building Materials R&D Center has successfully developed chemical materials such as low heat cement, polycarboxylate high-performance water reducer mother liquor and water reducer, and early strength and ultra slow-release polycarboxylate high-performance water reducer, solving the global problem of “temperature cracks” in hydraulic engineering.
In terms of research on glass based special functional materials, HOLIC® Building Materials R&D Center has successfully processed functional materials with excellent optical, mechanical, thermal, electrical and other special properties based on glass materials, mainly including special glass fiber functional products such as low light night vision, ultraviolet warning, passive interference, aerospace, fiber optic communication, fiber optic sensing, as well as special glass products such as large-sized quartz glass, high-purity quartz glass for semiconductors, special light window glass, infrared glass and coating, sealing glass, special shaped product pipes, lightweight metal surface vitrified mirrors (beryllium mirrors), halo glass windows, lithium glass and radiation protection glass; At the same time, vehicles and other equipment are equipped with windshield glass, protective cabin glass and other products; And fully leverage years of scientific research achievements and practical experience in the field of glass to assist in the solidification treatment of high-level radioactive waste glass.
